We have a long history of helping institutional investors navigate capital markets to achieve their long-term objectives. Through a broad platform of traditional and alternative capabilities, we draw on our well-resourced investment division that has diversified expertise through multiple market cycles. We are entrusted with managing over $11.4 billion of client assets as at December 31st, 2025, with a client base that spans pension plans, endowments and foundations, First Nations, family offices and financial intermediaries.
Jennifer Sinopoli
Jennifer Sinopoli is Executive Vice-President, Head of Distribution for CI Global Asset Management and oversees the firm’s national distribution efforts for both the retail and institutional business. She brings extensive experience and deep knowledge of the asset management and wealth management industries to the role. Since joining CI GAM in 2006, she has held progressively senior positions at the firm, building a track record of developing and motivating successful high-performing teams and leading key strategic initiatives.
Jennifer was promoted to her current role in 2023 and has had a significant impact on the business. She has introduced a new strategic direction for CI GAM Distribution and spearheaded other initiatives, including a modernized structure for the sales team, the enhanced use of data analytics, and building out the ETF Strategy group.
As a key executive, Jennifer is also a lead contributor to the overall Canadian asset management strategy and collaborates with other decision makers across CI Financial to execute on the firm’s strategic priorities and drive growth for CI.
Her career experience includes a management position at RBC Dominion Securities, and roles based in Eastern Ontario as well as Toronto. She graduated from Syracuse University with a B.Sc. degree and holds an MBA from the University of Fredericton.

Terry Krinsky, CIM
Terry is responsible for business development and relationship management aspects of CI GAM's institutional business covering Ontario, the Prairies, West Coast and the Territories. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining CI GAM in 2015, Terry worked for Aon Canada's investment consulting practice for four years as an Associate. There, he focused on performance monitoring, investment option reviews and manager research reports for defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, endowments and foundations.
Terry graduated from the Marketing and Communications program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation.
Verede Bendavid, ASA, CFA
Verede is responsible for business development and relationship management aspects of CI GAM's institutional business, covering Quebec and Atlantic Canada. She joined the Institutional Asset Management team in 2017 and has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining CI GAM, Verede worked for 11 years with Mercer Investment Consulting where she focused on asset liability management, performance monitoring, investment structure reviews and manager research reports.
Verede graduated from the University of Montreal with a bachelor’s in actuarial science. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charterholder, is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a member of CFA Society Montreal.
Sandip Chowdhury
Sandip is responsible for business development of the defined contribution/group retirement services market at CI Global Asset Management (GAM), working closely with plan sponsors, group retirement brokers, and record-keepers. He joined the institutional team at CI in 2018 as a product and sales support analyst and has over eight years of experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining CI GAM, Sandip was working as a business development associate on the inside sales desk at HollisWealth for a year.
Sandip holds a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science from Western University and has completed the Canadian Securities Course.
David McBain
David is an experienced financial services industry professional, currently serving as the Vice-President of Business Development, Strategic Relationships at CI. His career spans various roles, including retail, wholesale, structured products, institutional business development and client services. David’s career has been fueled by his keen interest in investments and financial markets. Starting with his time as an advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy, this passion has propelled him to higher achievements.
His association with CI is long standing, having worked for the company as Regional Vice-President (Ontario) in the 1990s, when it was known as Canadian International Group. After a decade of leading wholesaling efforts and managing a team in Eastern Ontario, David was appointed CEO and President of CI's Skylon Advisors. In that role, he was instrumental in developing and marketing CI's niche products such as hedge funds, linked notes, closed-end funds, and limited partnerships.
For his next challenge, David moved to Altrinsic Global Advisors Canada, focusing on institutional sales and client service, across Canada and in the U.S.
In 2023, David returned to CI as Vice-President, Business Development, Strategic Relationships. Within a few months, his role expanded to leading and driving sales for the family office channel. His extensive industry connections with some of the largest institutions, investment advisors and family office teams in the country also make David an invaluable asset for helping us grow our alternative and private assets business.
David holds a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) II, Options Licensing, and Commodity Futures Courses, further solidifying his expertise in the financial sector.
Sara Loriot, CFA
In her role as Vice‑President, Institutional Strategy & Partnerships, Sara leads the continued evolution of the firm’s institutional platform and works closely with executive leadership to advance CI Global Asset Management’s (CI GAM) institutional strategy to strengthen market positioning and drive sustainable growth.
Sara brings a decade of experience in asset management spanning retail and institutional distribution, institutional portfolio management, and strategy. Before joining CI GAM in 2020, Sara worked at another large global asset management firm.
Sara is a CFA charterholder, holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Concordia University, and volunteers with CFA Society Toronto. She is bilingual in French and English.
Thomas Lagonia
Thomas is an Associate at CI Global Asset Management (CI GAM), supporting general client servicing across the institutional business. Prior to joining CI GAM full‑time in 2024, he held roles across CI Financial in both Investment Services and Client Services. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Finance.
Juvhan Nithi
Juvhan is an analyst working on generalist fund coverage and advisory to support the institutional business. Prior to joining CI Global Asset Management (CI GAM) in 2026, he held positions in Mergers and Acquisitions investment banking, alternative/multi-asset class investing and business strategy. Juvhan graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business with an Honours BA and the University of Western Ontario with a degree in History through the double degree program.
