Jon Case, MFin, CFA
Jon joined CI Global Asset Management in 2012 and has more than 15 years of financial industry experience. Prior to joining CI, Jon was a partner and precious metals equity analyst at one of the country’s largest independently owned investment dealers. Jon has a Master of Finance Degree from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has been a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts since 2006.
Chris Couprie, CFA
Chris joined the CI Signature real estate team in 2021. Prior to that, Chris was most recently a real estate equity analyst at CIBC, and was also previously a co-manager with the award-winning real estate team at First Asset. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Curtis Gillis, MBA, CPA, CFA
Curtis joined the investment industry in 1997 and is part of CI Global Asset Management’s Sector Equity team. Prior to joining CI, Curtis worked as an associate portfolio manager of resource portfolios for another Canadian investment company. This follows stints in research with two asset management firms and experience as a sell-side oilfield services analyst at two brokerage firms. Curtis also has direct industry experience, working in the natural gas trading group of a U.S. oil and gas company. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Saint Francis Xavier University and a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University. He also holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations.
Lee Goldman, MBA, CFA
Lee is a portfolio manager with a successful long-term track record of managing real estate assets. He joined CI Global Asset Management in 2018 following 12 years as a lead manager at the former First Asset Investment Management Inc. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science (Statistics) degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) degree from York University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Kate MacDonald, MFin, CIM, CFA
Kate joined CI Global Asset Management in 2018 as a portfolio manager responsible for a number of dedicated real estate funds, as well as real estate allocations across various strategies. Prior to joining CI Global Asset Management, Kate co-managed real estate portfolios at CI since 2013. She holds a Masters in Finance from Queen's University, the Chartered Investment Manager designation, and the Chartered Financial Analyst ( CFA) designation.
Kevin McSweeney, MBA, CFA
Kevin has 12 years of financial services and investment management experience and is a member of the team responsible for infrastructure and REITs. He moved to this team from the high-yield, convertible bond and leveraged loan assets team in 2016. Prior to joining CI Global Asset Management, Kevin worked for six years with Scotiabank, most recently in corporate credit risk management. Prior to that, he worked with Finance Canada as a financial economist in the international trade and financial markets divisions. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from St. Mary's University a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University, and the Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA) designation.
